2010 Climbing Wall Summit — Call for Workshop Proposals
The Climbing Wall Association, is accepting proposals for pre-conference and conference workshops. If you have a topic that is relevant to the sport of climbing, climbing wall management, climbing wall operations, climbing instruction, climbing technique, route-setting, et cetera, and would like to share your knowledge, information, or skills with others, please submit a proposal for a pre-conference or conference presentation.
Pre-conference workshops will be offered in a half-day or full-day format (May 13, 2010). Conference workshops will be offered in 90 minute sessions (May 14, 15, 16). Pre-conference workshops may be longer than one day, if necessary, but must conclude prior to the start of regular conference programming on May 13.
The workshop format can be educational, informational, an activity/skill, a round table discussion, a panel discussion, etc. Workshop proposals should address the various needs and interests of segments of the the climbing wall industry. Topics may include: administration, operations, risk management, marketing, training, competitions, current issues or trends, and other special topics.
The conference will be held in Boulder, Colorado, at the University Memorial Center (UMC) at the University of Colorado. The UMC has several conference rooms available for both pre-conference and conference workshops. Boulder also offers world-class indoor and outdoor rock climbing venues for off site workshops. We invite you to join us as a presenter.
