What is the Climbing Wall Summit all About?
The 2008 Climbing Wall Summit will provide CWA members and the climbing community with an outstanding professional development experience. Join us for the most powerful and productive gathering of influential leaders, manufacturers, climbing wall owners, managers, and staff in the field of climbing sports.
The Summit will bring attendees together to network, collaborate, learn, and more effectively tap into the immense potential of manufactured wall climbing. The event will provide a forum for learning from expert faculty and your peers. There will be classes, clinics, and workshops as well as structured networking time. Workshops will cover a variety of topics and will be designed to meet your needs.

What does the Climbing Wall Summit Look Like?
The first day of the 2008 Summit will offer half-day and full-day in-depth workshops, roundtable discussions, and climbing activities which promise to be among the most popular and creative learning opportunities. The second, third, and fourth days will offer interspersed periods of structured networking time and interactive workshops concerning research and trends, business development, marketing, retail development, climbing instruction, standards, risk management, and responsible climbing wall operations. Each day will be infused with special events, activities, entertainment, and gatherings that will offer participants the opportunity to take advantage of the future of climbing!
Who Should Attend the Climbing Wall Summit?
If you are a CWA member or you are interested in the future of climbing, you should attend! The summit is designed for owners, managers, and staff members from climbing facilities of all types: climbing gyms, recreation centers, YMCA's, colleges and universities, public schools, health clubs, camps, and youth programs. Members of the climbing industry at large should also attend: association representatives, manufacturers, distributors, competition organizers, coaches, instructors, and guides.
When is the Climbing Wall Summit?
The 2008 Climbing Wall Summit will be held in Boulder, Colorado from Thursday, May 1st through Sunday, May 4th. Pre-Conference workshops and the opening reception will be scheduled on May 1st and conference workshops and other activities will be held on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Where is the Climbing Wall Summit?
The 2008 Climbing Wall Summit & Managers' Symposium will be held in Boulder, Colorado a short distance from Denver International Airport. Boulder features outstanding rock climbing and two world-class climbing facilities: The Boulder Rock Club and The Spot Bouldering Gym. The Boulder Outlook Hotel, a zero-waste hotel, will serve as the venue for the Climbing Wall Summit once again. The hotel offers guest accommodations, ample workshop and meeting space, a pool, an indoor bouldering feature, common areas for relaxation and networking, and a restaurant on the premises.
