MOVEMENT CLIMBING + FITNESS: DENVER
MANAGING DIRECTOR

Movement Climbing + Fitness is opening its second location in the bustling central area of Denver,
CO and is interested in hiring a highly motivated and dedicated individual as the Managing Director
for the facility.

This individual is the lead staff member of the facility and will be part of a passionate team of
community‐oriented climbing and fitness enthusiasts that work in an environmentally‐conscious,
purpose‐built facility. All members of the staff will be experts in their respective fields, work well
with a team, and will be committed to making Movement Climbing + Fitness the leader in its
industry.

Brief Description of Position
As the Managing Director at Movement Climbing + Fitness, you will be charged with overseeing all
other Directors and Departments, in addition to financial and strategic planning.
The Managing Director is responsible for oversight of all daily operations and works very closely
with the General Manager. The General Manager oversees both the Boulder and Denver locations,
so the Managing Director is the lead staff member in Denver.

The position of Managing Director requires proficiency in Excel, database management, and
familiarity with point of sale systems – specifically Rock Gym Pro. This person must also be highly
organized and prepared to present quarterly updates to the Management Team. The position also
requires a financial background for creating and managing budgets and a basic understanding of
financial reporting. Ideally, this candidate will also have experience with Wordpress, Adobe
Illustrator, PhotoShop, Constant Contact and social media. The right candidate for this position is an
upbeat, self‐motivated, reliable and hard‐working individual that is eager to be part of a cuttingedge
team.

Specific Time Commitments and Compensation
This is a full‐time job with flexible hours, though the expectation is that the candidate will work
regular hours in addition to times when assistance is needed by Directors or other staff. As a start
up, this candidate can expect the first six months to be rigorous and the right candidate will have a
desire to step up to the plate whenever needed. In addition, a key element for the Managing
Director is understanding the member and guest experience, so this person will spend a great deal
of time with members and guests in classes, climbing, at the front desk and in daily interaction.
This is a salaried position that provides competitive compensation that is commensurate with
experience.
